Math Tutors - What Parents Dont Know About the Free Math Tutor
Math Tutors - What Parents Don't Know About the Free Math TutorThe free math tutor offers a unique opportunity to help struggling students get their grades up. Not only will they receive all of the free tutoring they want, but they will be doing so for no cost at all.The reason for low scores is quite simple, and many parents don't even realize it. There are several common mistakes that make mathematics more difficult than needed, which is why students have lower scores on average.Parents often put themselves in the category of being perfectionists. Their kids are struggling, so they think that they must do everything perfectly. This is exactly the wrong mindset for helping your child with his problems, as there is no such thing as doing it perfectly. The math tutor is someone who specializes in helping struggling students grasp the skills they need to succeed in school. They do not focus on perfection. In fact, they don't care about any of it, as long as the student understands what they are doing. An example of this is teaching reading comprehension. Often parents think that the correct number of words must be used, but that isn't the case. The tutor will help the student understand how words are used and, in turn, help them make decisions on what words to use next. In some cases, the student will even be able to use words correctly without even realizing it.It is important to remember that the math tutor is also helping the student with other skills that they may not be using. They may be taking them aside and showing them the way, or giving them extra help. The free math tutor can provide much more help than you might think. They're just like you and me, and they realize that your child needs help in order to excel in math class. They don't care if you owe them a favor.

4 Signs a Student Will Be Successful in Middle School
4 Signs a Student Will Be Successful in Middle School 4 signs a student will be successful in middle school Starting middle school is one of the biggest transitions a student will face throughout their academic career. This time represents both educational and social changes that can make it a challenge to be successful overall. However, some students have an easy transition to middle school and do well in their more difficult classes. There are some signs that a student will be successful in middle school, which can, in turn, lead to success in high school and beyond. If a student is keeping their stress low but their grades high and has a great relationship with some responsible and motivated peers, theyâre probably going in the right direction our experienced Orange County middle school tutors are here to help. 1. Consistently good grades Starting middle school is a pretty big academic transition and some students who received excellent grades in elementary school may need a little bit of help from a study group or tutor. This is totally normal because the concepts at this level of learning are getting increasingly harder and build upon themselves. However, if a middle school student is receiving As and Bs in most of their courses its a sign that theyâre going to be academically successful. Its always a good idea for students to maintain open lines of communication with their kidâs teacher just to see if things are on track. At this point in the year, students will have been handed back a few assignments and tests so parents can take a look and see how their kid is doing. The most important thing is that the grades are consistent. If a student gets one poor grade here and there, its not necessarily indicative of their overall effort. The consistency is the key to success during this transition. 2. They like their teacher Middle school age students sometimes have mixed feelings about their classroom teachers. Teachers start assigning more work at a more difficult level, which can be overwhelming for some students. Additionally, this is the time when students begin to challenge authority figures. As a result, if middle school students like their teacher its a really good sign. This means they enjoy school overall and generally have good feelings about their educational experience. They may feel that the teacher is a tough grader or gives out too much homework but that doesnt necessarily mean they dont like their teachers. If a middle school student feels comfortable raising their hand and asking questions or staying after class to ask for help, theyâre very likely to be successful in general. 3. Their friends are good role models Its a good sign if a middle school student has made friends with other students who are motivated to do well academically and who are good role models. This means that students are likely to influence each other in a positive way and encourage each other to study for exams and complete homework assignments on time. Making new friends at a new school can be a social challenge so students may consider joining a study group or social club to enjoy this particular element of growing up (READ: 5 Ways to Study for Science Class). 4. Choosing an after-school activity The rigors of academics can become overwhelming at times, making it hard for students to participate in extracurricular activities. However, if students are interested in activities such as sports, arts, and music, or a volunteer group, they are probably on the right track. If a student is too tired to do much of anything when they come home from school they might be getting overwhelmed and need a little bit of extra help. To maintain a great work-life balance, students need to have some fun when outside of the classroom. Participating in a fun after-school activity can add to their success. Even successful students need help from time to time. Our private Orange County academic tutors will help your middle-schooler succeed in every topic. Work Definition - What Is It?
Work Definition - What Is It?Work definition is important when you are looking to determine whether you should consider pursuing a career in chemistry. While the general public usually considers a job as an appropriate career for them, many will often tell you that you are not an ideal candidate unless you have a chemistry degree. Whether or not you want to pursue a career in chemistry is really up to you but you should be aware of what it means to have a work definition to figure out if chemistry is the right career for you.First of all, you need to decide whether or not work definition means that you are required to perform scientific laboratory research. If so, then obviously, you probably would be a chemist. However, it could mean that you only have to carry out laboratory work if there is a chemistry job open and it does not mean that you are only required to do laboratory work for your life after school. For example, I am a licensed practical nurse and am not required to do any scientific laboratory research while I was working for a company. Then, you also need to determine whether or not you are required to complete a specific work definition of chemical materials for a particular course. For example, there is a requirement that you must complete chemical lab requirements that you took as part of the chemistry department when you were a student. This is just one form of work definition and you might not even be required to complete this at all, especially if you take a course that does not require chemical lab work at all. Then, you also need to determine what type of work you will be doing after school is over. If you have completed a four year degree from a university, then you will most likely find a lab technician position or a position with a pharmaceutical company where you will work closely with a chemist. If you are thinking about doing a degree that is not accredited, you might not have a real work definition of what your career path might look l ike in the future. It is important to realize that even after you graduate, there will be a wide variety of new career paths that you can take. Therefore, you will still need to have a work definition in order to know what your expectations are as far as the direction you want to go in your life. Also, be sure to make sure that you have a work definition that includes a job outlook for at least three years after you graduate. You do not want to waste time chasing down a new career when you are actually chasing after a more desirable career. For example, if you are not sure if you will ever return to school for a degree in chemistry, you might want to work with your life coach to help you get a work definition of a career that you can continue to pursue after you graduate. Finally, make sure that you make sure that you have a work definition so that you know if you want to continue your education or pursue a different career. Often, there is a definite difference between a career and a job. However, make sure that you think through this carefully before making a decision about pursuing your education.

Dividing Matrices
Dividing Matrices Dividing matrices cannot do directly as usual division. Dividing matrices is similar to dividing mixed fractions. As we are doing in dividing mixed fractions find the inverse of divisor matrix and multiply with the matrix in the numerator. If A and B are two matrix then A/B = A (1/B) = A B-1.B-1 is the inverse of B. Actually we dont divide the matrix; it can be done by multiplying with the inverse of matrix. The following examples help you to understand the division of matrices. Example 2: Explain the steps involved in matrix division. Solution: Let us assume two matrixes are A and B To divide two matrix B/A We cannot divide the matrix directly To divide matrix B/A, first find out inverse of A And then multiply with matrix B. The inverse of A can be found by swapping the position of matrix and divide everything by the determinant. After finding the inverse of matrix B, multiply with matrix A. While multiplying matrix we need to do the dot product of rows and columns. The final matrix is division of B/A.
4 Ways Parents Can Help High School Students Succeed
4 Ways Parents Can Help High School Students Succeed High school can easily become an overwhelming experience. You and your student may face multiple obstacles, both academic and social, and you may thus be wondering, How can I help my high school student succeed? Among other actions, parents can help high school students succeed by keeping current with teachers, helping students plan what classes to take, and establishing goals for the future. Supporting your student is key. Here are four ways parents can help high school students succeed: 1. Help your high school student succeed by remaining up-to-date with teachers and grades Parent-teacher communication can fall by the wayside as your child grows older. We sometimes believe that high school students are independent enough not to need face-to-face meetings between the adults in their lives, but high schoolerslike younger studentsdo best when supported by parents. One of the best ways to effectively support your child is to be in touch with his or her school. Attend your students open house or back-to-school night, which is often before school starts or at the beginning of the year. There, you can meet one or more of your childs teachers, as well as any administration youd like to talk to or hear from. Youll get to know the vision of the school (if youre not already familiar with it), as well as practical expectations from teachers and school policies for: attendance discipline homework. Attend parent-teacher conferences too. They may be less frequent than those in elementary or middle school, but they are great ways to stay in touch about how your child is doing in the specific class, as well as how he or she can improve. Remember that you can always initiate and set up an appointment with a teacher or administrator should a specific issue arise. Additionally, many schools now have online parent portals that provide access to student grades or allow parent-teacher communication. [RELATED: High School Parent-Teacher Conferences: What to Ask] 2. Help your high school student succeed by planning which classes to take In high school, more so than in middle school, students have a wider variety of classes to choose from. Theyll have core subjectsincluding English, history, math, and scienceplus electives. Your child will likely meet with a school counselor before each semester to discuss course schedules, but take some time to discuss this with your student as well. In terms of core classes, consider the different levels of difficulty: honors, AP (Advanced Placement), and IB (International Baccalaureate) courses. If he or she is game, encourage your child to take AP or IB classes (if available). These courses give students a healthy challenge and a jump-start in college. They also look good on a college application. In terms of electives, encourage your student to take classes that could extend his or her knowledge of a potential career path or personal interest, or those that are just a great creative outlet. 3. Help your high school student succeed by encouraging participation in extracurricular activities Extracurricular activities, especially in high school, have countless benefits. They help students become more invested in school, and can serve as opportunities to make friends. They help students get to know teachers (if they sponsor a club or team), as well as develop leadership and teamwork skills. They help students better articulate what they might like about a subject or possible career. They allow students to develop a healthy sense of independence. Beyond clubs, sports, and teams at school, talk to your child about possible internships or service activities in the community. Some schools can connect students to internships with organizations they already have relationships with, and who are familiar with working with students. These types of commitments will offer your child real world experience and help him or her gain a better sense of what it means to be a member of the community. 4. Help your high school student succeed by making plans for college and beyond Discuss college and career early on in high school so your student knows what to look forward to and how he or she might be able to get there. Help your child schedule standardized tests, like the SAT or ACT, and plan out a study schedule to break down prep into manageable chunks. Suggest resources, like test prep books and tutoring, that can act as supports. Speak with your student about his or her future aspirations, and make short and long-term goals to get there, even though these aspirations might change over the years. Visit colleges, if possible, and discuss with your child what he or she is looking for, and what would work best for your students learning style, future career, and finances. The above tips can help you and your student make the most of high school. The idea is clear communication: with your students school, their teachers, and with your student. When checking in with your child regularly, you can better discern how to balance their independence with how you can support them academicallyand emotionallythroughout this important time. Everything You Need to Know About the Blues Scale on Guitar
Everything You Need to Know About the Blues Scale on Guitar Sign up successful What is the Blues Scale? In its simplest form, the blues scale is simply a pentatonic scale. That might sound complicated, so lets break down the theory. Look at a piano if you have one, or look up an image of piano keys. Take a look at the black keys on the piano. They naturally fall into the pentatonic scale pattern. If you want to hear the pentatonic scale in the easiest way, just play anything you want on the black keys only. The gaps between the groups of black keys show you something very important about the scale. Some of the notes are farther apart than others. This is because there are two types of âintervalsâ (or, spaces between notes) in the pentatonic scale. There are whole steps and minor thirds. The whole step is made up of two half-steps. This is also equal to two frets on the guitar. The minor third is made up of three half-steps, which is equal to three frets on the guitar. Whole steps and minor thirds are also referred to as âstepsâ and âskips.â Being aware of this pattern of steps and skips is the most important aspect of learning the blues scale. Practice with the Pentatonic Scale Letâs put the theory weve just learned into practice. The main resting or finishing note of a key is called the âroot.â As an example, weâll look at the key of A minor. In the key of A minor you have the notes A C D E G. Those would be all natural notes (with no sharps or flats) and all white keys on a piano. In any key you make a pentatonic scale in, you start with the root and go up a minor third (three half steps), then a whole step, then another whole step, then one more minor third, then one last whole step. So in the key of A minor, the interval pattern from the root is: (A) Skip (C) Step (D) Step (E) Skip (G) Step (A) The same interval pattern would apply to any key, so even if the notes change, the sound of the scale will be similar. In other words, the interval structure is what determines most of the mood of a scale. When you go to learn this on the guitar, the main thing you will learn to do is memorize âboxesâ or patterns of whole steps and minor thirds that go across the strings. We will talk about these more in the next section, but realize that it is an incredibly important and fundamental exercise to master at least one pentatonic box that you can use for playing songs. Difference Between the Pentatonic Blues Scales The main difference between the blues scale and the pentatonic is the addition of one note. In the whole step between the third and fourth notes, you will play the note that falls between the third and fourth notes. For example, in A minor, youâll add an Eb in between D and E. So the interval pattern for the blues scale in the key of A minor would look like: A (Skip) C (Whole Step) D (Half Step) Eb (Half Step) E (Skip) G (Whole Step) A The reason this extra note is present is because it has a special place in a lot of blues melodies. Itâs important to mention that itâs not enough just to have the extra note in the scale. The way you use it to create the blues sound is to play it in blues licks. The best way to understand this is to learn the scale, and then play songs that use it so you can see the way it gets applied. Playing the notes of the blues scale in totally random ways does not produce a âbluesyâ sound; only playing the scale in the way it shows up in the traditional canon of songs will get you to the right place as a blues guitar player. There are plenty of fun ways to master the blues scale on guitar, and you should choose the ones that inspire you the most. Remember: motivation comes from action! Here are a few ideas to get you started. Repeat the A minor blues scale from the lowest note to the highest note, and then back down until you can remember the notes in order without looking at a tab or diagram. Switch between reading the diagram and then trying to remember, to see where your memory has gaps. Play one note at a time in the scale, along with a metronome at 60 BPM. Try to remember the finger pattern while playing with your eyes closed. Open your eyes to look only if you get lost. Pick a random song and try to place the scale shape you learned on the root note. You can try different notes until you find the root by ear, or look up the key of the song and place the scale box on that root. Knowing the blues scale is like knowing the alphabet, and life is a lot better when you can spell! This scale gets used with specific licks and phrases that define the blues sound, and having a teacher to help you see the connection between the scale and the music can be very helpful. Teaching private tutorials at yo ur home is different to teaching at a studentâs home and comes with a number of advantages. If you're made your house a home, make sure that you keep your professional life and personal life apart. (Source: Pexels)A private tutor usually goes to their studentâs house and has to adapt to each environment they find themselves in. In this case, the roles are reversed and the student comes to the tutorâs house. Itâs, therefore, easier for the tutor to feel at ease and teach under the best conditions. The relationship between the student and the teacher becomes less formal. That said, this can make lessons for stimulating than just any old lesson. You can get the most out of your home by doing a few things to make it more conducive to teaching.A good teacher will be able to separate where they live, eat, and sleep from where they work and teach physics, chemistry, exam prep classes, etc. The space needs to be correctly used for teaching. This space comes with a number of important a dvantages and can help the teacher develop a better relationship with their student. In fact, by coming to their teacherâs house, students will feel closer to them. Furthermore, itâs much easier teaching in your own home.Of course, if you're a chemistry tutor, for example, your student mightn't have the equipment they need. However, if you're an English tutor, French tutor, or a reading tutor, you should be able to bring a few books with you in order to provide supplemental instruction. You may even consider holding lessons outdoors!Teaching at Your Own Home: An Easier Way to TeachTeaching at your own home is a way to create your own teaching approach. From worksheets to exercise books, the student just has to say what they want to work on and their tutor will be able to get it ready! With the right preparation, teaching at your own home can be better than at the stud ent's home. (Source: SnapwireSnaps)Contrary to teaching students in their homes, teaching at your own home is a much easier way to teach for a number of reasons:Youâre closer to the student, making it easier to help them.Saving time travellingYou feel more comfortable, which makes explaining things easier. You can dedicate a space in your home to teaching. You can save money by not having to travel (public transport, petrol, etc.)Youâll feel more relaxed and therefore be able to create a more relaxed environment for teaching in.And many more...In fact, there are a good number of advantages to teaching at home which can help the tutor help their student to succeed. Whether youâre teaching maths, piano, exam technique, or any other subject, the tutor is the expert. Being a good teacher isnât about having all the right qualifications, itâs about being able to communicate effectively.Itâs much easier to communicate from the comfort of your own home with all the necessary resou rces on hand. Once again, whether youâre doing a Spanish tutorial, teaching students how to sing, academic support, or maths and science tutorials, itâs far easier to do at home. Of course, you need to set boundaries so that you wonât feel like your home is being invaded by students.Teaching tutorials in your own home needs to be done in a professional and legitimate way. From IT tutorials to A Level prep, tutors need to ensure that they remain a teacher first and foremost. That said, a good teacher can still create a relaxed and enjoyable environment for students to work in.Teaching at Your Own Home: Setting LimitsDespite all the advantages, there are still ways that teaching at home can go wrong. In fact, if you want to teach all your tutorials at home and finish with more money at the end of the month, youâre going to end up teaching a lot of students, some of whom may end up invading your personal space. You need to, therefore, set boundaries. When you teach at home, keep in mind that you're going to be inviting students into your home. (Source: Free-Photos)After all, your main goal is to teach your students and you need to ensure that your relationship remains as neutral and professional as possible. Right from the start, you need to make it clear to your students that their classroom is also your home. Regardless of the room theyâre in, itâs still part of your home. While this is the reason that both the tutor and student get more out of the tutorials, there are boundaries that need to be respected and you donât want to give off the idea that you two are good mates hanging out. You have to remain as professional as possible and keep your professional life apart from your private life. This can be difficult since everything in your house is probably is an indicator of your private life: a family photo, a pet barging in, or just personal notes on your desk. You need to make sure that you prepare adequately before you start teaching. That said, th is is all par for the course when youâre a private tutor. In addition to getting word of mouth to work its magic and looking for students on online platforms like Superprof, you also need to know how to take care of the little things such as ensuring your home is a suitable place to teach in. Your role is to make sure that you provide effective tutorials that make the most of the advantages of being taught in your home.If youâve set appropriate boundaries, you can enjoy the benefits of a class taught in a classroom with the advantages that a homely environment can bring. Students learn much better when theyâre relaxed, after all. With the right workspace, both the tutor and the student will benefit. As youâve probably understood, there are a lot of advantages to teaching in your own home that can help improve the quality of the private tuition you provide. Furthermore, it makes your life easier and your classes more interesting. Just make sure that thereâs a clear line betw een your professional and private lives so that the relationships with your students donât become too casual!Don't forget that there are also online tutoring services, too. If home tutoring isn't going to work for you or your student, you can offer one on one tutoring in all subjects via a video conferencing. You just need a computer, a webcam, a microphone, and a decent internet connection. If those being tutored are happy with this setup, then go for it!Follow these suggestions for other places you could host lessons...Whether at your home or elsewhere, private tutorials need to be carefully planned. (Source: kaboompics)An online tutor won't have to pay transport costs and, as a result, can pass these savings onto the student. Don't forget that a lot of tutors on Superprof offer free tutoring for the first hour in order to help them get more tutoring jobs. Online tutorials are very popular for those studying languages as they get an opportunity to practise the language with the tutor, who can help with pronunciation, grammar, etc. Scheduling online private tutorials is easier as well since you don't need to work out where you have to go.The most important thing about academic tutoring is that the student can find a tutor to help them develop study skills, provide them with quality instruction, and give them the confidence to complete an assignment, learn on their own, in a small group, or a large class, and become an avid learner. The best tutors will do this by choosing the right place to provide instruction. After that, the only remaining question would be how much to charge for each lesson?
